Safe, Healthy, and Loved – Every CAT
Matters
Welcome to Feral Cat Care
Feral
Cat Care is a non-profit company that monitor, evaluate and provide humane care for feral cats. We use the veterinarian-approved TNR system (Trap-Neuter-Return) for managing our cat populations. We help companies in Bloemfontein to maintain their feral cat colonies. We also foster feral kittens up to 8 weeks of age when they are ready for adoption.

PLEASE DonateThe Feral Cat Crisis: Why It Matters
Feral cats face harsh conditions, struggling to find food, shelter, and medical care. Without intervention, their populations grow rapidly, leading to suffering from disease, starvation, and injury.
They also impact local wildlife and can spread illnesses to other animals. Humane management, such as trap-neuter-return (TNR) and community support, is essential to controlling their numbers and improving their welfare.
What is a feral cat?
A feral cat is a cat who is born and raised in the wild, or one
who has been abandoned or become lost and reverted back to a ‘wild’,
instinctual state in order to survive.
Feral cats often are the
offspring of abandoned pets. This is different from a friendly stray
that is just lost. Most feral cats have limited human contacts. Some
hide, some watch people from a distance.
